day three-hundred-and-thirty-three - northern cassowary

yet another bright bird portrait, but don't cassoWORRY about it.

© jem barratt

he looks a lot better than i thought he did seven days ago

cassowaries, like fine wines, must ripen with age. not that wine ripens. probably should have compared it to a banana or something...

oh well. that terrible analogy is a lot more representative of my long shitty week than a banana ever could be

p.s. how nice is that blue?! it was so dark on the paper.

day three-hundred-and-thirty - barn owl

i am loving this whole changing-the-levels-of-only-one-part-of-the-picture thing

© jem barratt

this is pretty much the revers of my snowy owl drawing, but i still love it. actually i love that one too. maybe i'm just most excellent at drawing owls?

i cannot write another word (ignore those to come, i guess?) because i've been doing uni junk ALL DAY and i am sore and tired.
