day one-hundred-and-thirty-nine - thompson's gazelle

you may know the thompson's gazelle from such roles as 'lion fodder', 'babboon snack' and 'wildlife victim'. just once i'd like to see a gazelle be the eater not the eaten...

i feel the same way about zebras. so much so that i penned a poem about them and got myself in a poetry book in high school. if i ever draw a zebra (too much effort) i may quote from my poem.

until then here's a gazelle haiku:

a lion's dinner
food fit for africa's kings
they live to be killed

oooh so deep.
