i'm going to go with no. because this duck looks creepy.

and it also has an unfortunately creepy scientific name anas bahamensis

or baha men anuses in normal speak

day one-hundred-and-fifty-three - goosander

oh look at this cute duckling riding on his mum:

in reality, there were two goosanderlings lazily riding on their mum, while their four ducky siblings had to swim for themselves.

the caption to that linked photo explains that the photographer returned a few days later after some wild weather and only two of the ducklings had survived. gee i wonder which ones...

day sixty-five - tufted duck

today i was asked to go to the abc studios for a brief interview about my blog and was greeted with "you're not JUST drawing animals are you?"

but hey i hit a real milestone today, only three-hundred left to go!! (sob sob)

i seem to keep inadvertantly picking animals of 'least concern', rather than spotlighting threatened species. must remember that when i go to draw an ant tomorrow...
