day three-hundred-and-sixty-five - ???

a few people have asked me what i was going to draw for the final animal. and i had no idea. i sure wasn't going to put in any extra effort - why should i draw something special? it's just another day. obviously this project comes across as way more meaningful than it is.

but then i had a great idea. until now i have depicted animals i like. why not depict one i hate? i would art-ify the most evil and destructive of all animals...

humans. truly despicable characters.

but then i thought. who am i, the adelaide zoo? i'm not that lame. i'm lamer. and so i end with just another animal...

yeah this is a bit of a cop out but 'meeeeh'...

so the pacific gull isn't huge, but he's there. and it's pretty arty. the point is there's an animal there and i took the photo and i like the photo and so should you.

but you should like this one more because it looks like the clouds are thought bubbles...

i would have entered some of my camping photos into ANZANG had i taken a better camera. and i would have taken a better camera if i owned one. which i don't. so i didn't. and i won't.

day two-hundred-and-eighty-one - eastern grey kangaroo

what? you're going to boycott my blog if i repeat an animal i've already drawn? well see ya later sucker(s)/no-one.

i was camping last week, and there were many of these kangaroos in the national park we stayed in, so naturally that's what i photographised.

i like that the second kangaroo is like his shoulder angel. if he wasn't there the main roo might've eaten me just like he ate my friend's sketchbook - for reals. we also saw a dead baby dolphin beached on the shore with its guts all about the place, but i thought this would be a nicer post...

this would have been a better photo if i owned a better camera (no shit), but i like the composition and the drip on the swan's beak.

obviously i'm now allowing photos as 'drawings' (go figure), mainly because i don't want to fall too far behind, and i did create these animal photos so come on... it counts right? what a circular and pointless sentence/question that was...

ok sorry for the lack of shit and then a bunch of shit. won't happen again. i actually drew like five things today but was embarrassed by their terrible quality (yes that means the ones i posted were the 'good ones') so i will be making more effort hopefully in the weeks to come until it's over!

day two-hundred-and-twenty-six - xmas alpaca

i'm going to turn 'the twelve days of christmas' on its butt and do an xmas countdown series! and so the twelve days of christmas cards series of blog posts begins...

on the twelfth day before christmas, i made an alpaca card:
