day one-hundred-and-seventy-two - tree shrew

it's a shrew that lives in the trees

there are tonnes of them at adelaide zoo. so much so that they kind of seem like they're only there to fill the gaps. yep, that's how i feel about you tree shrews. enjoy.

also i saw one eat its own excrement. charming animals.

they look like cows but are antelope. silly antelope, why do you look like another animal?

no matter, you have some mighty fine butt markings.

day one-hundred-and-seventy - silvered leaf monkey

whenever i attempt to draw baby monkeys i always feel like i'm drawing old men instead. i'm sure you'll see the similarity:

uh oh my cursor has disappeared. i'm sure i've had this problem before on this very blog. and the best solution? complain about it and don't move on!

oh yeah the monkey. i like baby orange monkeys the best of all baby monkeys. the langur at the adelaide zoo is one such example - not that the baby is orange anymore (or a baby for that matter), but just keep your ears peeled (ouch?) for news of a new one for they are always popping them out...

day one-hundred-and-sixty-nine - booby

or more accurately, brown booby, but i coloured it in with the wrong posca

also i'm not entirely sure if their beaks are actually blue, but it sure does look pretty. i know some boobies are blue of beak, and that's good enough for me
